Bhubaneswar: Archana Nag, who was taken into custody in a notorious honeytrap scandal, has made serious allegations of a political plot involving prominent leaders from the BJD and law enforcement officials.
During a press briefing on Saturday, Nag asserted that she was unlawfully detained on October 4, 2022, just two days prior to her formal arrest, and was held at the Balianta Police Station without any notification regarding the charges or the identity of the complainant.
She specifically named BJD figures Bobby Das, Manas Mangaraj, and Amaresh Jena as principal conspirators, accusing them of orchestrating her framing. Additionally, she implicated high-ranking police officials, including the then Bhubaneswar DCP Prateek Singh, ACP Prakash Pal, and Balianta IICs Himansu Sahu and Anup Kanungo.
Nag further alleged that there was an attempt on her life while in custody, involving a poisonous injection, and claimed she was branded as mentally unstable and coerced to leave the city.
Moreover, she stated that the complainant, Shradhanjali Behera, admitted to receiving a bribe from the BJD, asserting that she possesses evidence to support her claims. As of now, there has been no official comment from the BJD or the police.
